This is one of them ‘steps back’ I refer too about Cordova. It may not make much difference to most people but I cant be the only person to notice it; Just outside of downtown the Copper River Highway skirts the shores of Eyak Lake, Mt’s Tripod, Eyak, the Queens Chair and more of the Chugach Range fill your vision. Arguably its one of the most scenic drives in this part of Alaska.

The other side of the road however is a different matter. Seems the road side beautification project has been left too Waldo the Psychotic Wood Whacker… and this goes on for miles. Oh well, hopefully it will grow back.., someday.
